On May 5th, Texas TicKids was honored with the Innovation Award at the 5th Annual Trusted World Awards Breakfast—an incredible milestone for our organization and the community we serve.
This award recognizes organizations that are taking bold, creative approaches to addressing the challenges facing our North Texas neighbors. We are deeply grateful to be recognized for work that sits at the heart of our mission: expanding access to meaningful cultural experiences for children and families who might otherwise be left out.
At Texas TicKids, we believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the joy and inspiration that comes from live events—whether it’s a concert, sporting event, theater performance, or community gathering. These moments are more than entertainment. They are catalysts for confidence, connection, and possibility. Through partnerships with generous donors, local venues, and nonprofit organizations, we are able to open doors that might otherwise remain closed. Together, we’re creating opportunities for children to see themselves in new environments, build lasting memories with their families, and imagine bigger futures.
Receiving the Innovation Award affirms something we’ve always believed: innovation in service doesn’t always mean reinventing the wheel—it can mean reimagining access. It can mean recognizing overlooked needs and responding with creativity, collaboration, and heart.
We are also proud to celebrate the leadership and expertise of Michael Garrett, Founder and CEO of Trusted World, who serves on our advisory board as our IT and AI lead. His guidance helps us think forward—leveraging technology and innovation to scale our impact and better serve our community.
